Terms of service

The beta

PanelMancer helps tabletop groups capture sessions, develop campaign material, generate illustrations and publish EPUB comics. The beta is available to people aged 18 and older. Keep your account information accurate, protect your credentials and tell us if you suspect unauthorized access.

Features, limits and availability may change during beta. Keep your own copies of material you want to preserve. Any future paid offer will state its price and payment terms before you purchase it.

Your group and recording consent

Install and use PanelMancer only where you have permission. Each speaker must grant their own consent before live recording or transcription. Permission from a server owner, campaign owner or Game Master does not replace another speaker’s consent.

Only import recordings, documents, images or other material you have permission to use and share. Follow applicable recording laws and respect the rights and privacy of everyone in your group.

Your content

You retain the rights you hold in the content you provide. You give us permission to store, process, reproduce and deliver that content only as needed to provide the service you request, including processing by the relevant service providers and sharing according to your campaign settings.

This permission does not transfer your ownership to us. AI output may be similar to other material, and its copyright status and permitted uses depend on applicable law and third-party rights. Game systems, characters, artwork and other third-party material remain subject to their owners’ rights and licenses. Review material before publishing or sharing it.

Campaign permissions and sharing

Use the service only within your assigned permissions. Campaign owners control membership and ownership; authorized members can manage shared content according to their permissions. Public book libraries can be viewed without a campaign membership. Invite-only libraries require authorized access.

Posting to Discord, downloading an export or publishing material can make it available to others. You are responsible for choosing an appropriate audience. Access changes cannot recall copies already delivered.

Responsible use

Do not use PanelMancer for unlawful recording, infringement, harassment, exploitation, unauthorized access, malware, evading security controls or disrupting the service. Do not submit content you have no right to process, or use another person’s account without authorization.

AI-generated transcripts, answers, recaps and artwork can contain errors or invented details. They are creative assistance, not a verified record or professional advice. You are responsible for reviewing outputs before relying on them or sharing them.

Access, account closure and saved content

You can stop using the service at any time. Account and content controls are available in settings, subject to ownership and permissions. Contact us for help with account or personal-data requests.

Transfer campaigns you want others to keep before deleting your account. Where you explicitly confirm deletion of remaining owned campaigns, their content is deleted for all members. Campaigns owned by others and their shared records are not yours to delete through account closure.

We may restrict access to protect people or the service, comply with law, or respond to a material breach of these terms. Suspending an owner also suspends access to their owned campaigns while preserving saved content. Contact us if you believe a restriction was applied incorrectly.

Availability and responsibility

The beta is provided as available. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, error-free AI output or compatibility with every third-party service. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or responsibilities that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.

Changes and applicable law

California law governs these terms, subject to any mandatory protections that apply where you live. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve a concern directly.

We update the date above when these terms change and notify account holders by email or an in-app notice before material changes take effect. If you do not agree to an updated version, stop using the service and use the available export and account-closure controls.
